We have successfully gained public awareness through our fundraising events. Every year, we hold Cultifuture Education Festival, Fresh Projects, Red Packets For Love, Casual Wear Day, Street Fundraising and other charitable activities to promote the education development in remote areas of Chinese Mainland and promote our beliefs.
Shoes-off Walkathon started in 2010 as our association’s annual fundraising event in which participants walk barefooted from HKU Campus to the peak. We had around 200 participants every year in joining this meaning activity. We hoped that participants could experience the hardship of students in the deprived areas in the Chinese Mainland who had to walk on the rugged road with their shrinking legs to school every day.

Shoulder Their Dreams was our brand new fundraising event in 2015 in which walkers joined in groups to finish the 7 km arduous trail, carrying 3 kilograms of radish in the shoulder pole. We hope to provide an opportunity for participants to experience the life of students in rural areas of the Chinese Mainland.

A Fundraising Event in HKU Campus. We have different themes for Cultifuture Education Festival every year. We hope to raise the awareness of our HKU students and staffs towards the educational development in rural areas of Chinese Mainland and to raise funds for the high school students through holding exhibitions as well as charity sales. Staffs and students in HKU are also invited to write some encouraging words to show their blessings to the students.

New Year Blessings From Hong Kong. After the Lunar New year, we collected the red packets money from the teachers, students, staffs and visitors to raise fund for the underprivileged students in rural regions of Chinese Mainland at the University of Hong Kong. Apart from the donation, donors could also write Faichuns to send the sincere hope and blessings to the students.

We invite Hong Kong secondary schools to host in-school Casual Wear Days, channeling proceeds toward educational empowerment in the rural areas of the Chinese Mainland while galvanizing student consciousness about regional educational disparities. To date, we have successfully hosted Casual Wear Days across multiple secondary schools, including United Christian College, Wa Ying College, and Valtorta College. These initiatives have garnered enthusiastic participation, raising substantial funds to subsidize educational expenses for underprivileged students in the Chinese Mainland while giving Hong Kong students a deeper comprehension of educational adversities faced by disadvantaged youth.
