Every year, we conduct a series of fundraising events, such as "Red Packets For Love" and "Cultifuture Education Festival" to improve educational conditions in rural areas of the Chinese Mainland. These initiatives provide essential financial and material assistance to underprivileged students, teachers, and schools, promoting equal access to quality education.
We conduct hands-on field research across the Chinese Mainland to identify communities in need, deliver strategic recommendations, and monitor the progress of subsidized programs. Annually, we organize "Summer Camp" and "Winter Expedition", creating joyful and meaningful connections with local students.
This programme provides students at the University of Hong Kong with immersive exposure to educationally underdeveloped communities in the Chinese Mainland, offering firsthand insights into regional education systems while facilitating cross-border dialogue with local educators and students. By fostering mutual understanding, it cultivates a lasting commitment among HKU students to support educational advancement in underprivileged regions of the Chinese Mainland.
Through "HKU Cultifuture Education Ambassador Scheme," "School Talk" and "Orientation Day", we empower youth to reflect on education’s transformative role, develop global perspectives through experiential learning, and cultivate meaningful awareness of rural education challenges.
These events equip Hong Kong students with firsthand insights into educational progress of the Chinese Mainland and pressing issues, encouraging thoughtful analysis and discussion.
Through comprehensive research and data analysis, we produce and disseminate thought-provoking insights on educational system of the Chinese Mainland, with particular focus on supporting urban migrant children and addressing the multifaceted needs of rural students.
These four programmes operate synergistically, forming an integrated educational support system. Through coordinated resource mobilisation, strategic project design, on-site implementation, and rigorous impact assessment, we ensure both the efficacy and sustainability of our educational initiatives.
